Subaru

Moreyeah : Ini teksi you sendiri punya ka?
Driver : I punya… sudah habis bayar... tapi sudah 6 tahun... tahun depan sudah tak boleh pakai... teksi boleh pakai 7 tahun saja
Moreyeah : ooo… so, you kene beli baru la tahun depan?
Driver : Ya la… I ingat nak angkat itu Subaru… cantik la itu kereta... you tau ka?
Moreyeah : ooo… (ada ke Subaru org wat teksi kat sini?)
Driver : itu teksi aa… u jaga-jaga… naik saja, u tau tak berapa kena? 6 ringgit!
Moreyeah : ooo… I tau, itu teksi eksekutif kan? Warna biru kan?
Driver : Haa... itu la... cantik oo itu kereta... itu Nissan... Nissan Subaru...

Bukit Tinggi

Bukit Tinggi is 40 minutes' drive from KL , 10km off the East-West Karak Highway, 2,700 - 3,500 feet above sea level. I went there with my wife in May this year... We only had a few hours to spend there because we needed to go somewhere else later that day... So, we visited the Japanese-themed village and then to the Colmar Tropicale, a french-themed village...

I have been neither to Japan nor France, so I can't really tell whether these themed-villages are accurately themed or not... but they're quite impressive... the Japanese village lanscaping is outstanding... the whole village is flushed with greenery and colourful gardens... There are also waterfall and koi ponds... I'm sure anyone will find it very soothing...

The Colmar-Tropicale (see photo) is as beautiful... the scenery is unlike anywhere I've been to in this country... however, there's not much thing for us to do...

Before leaving, we spent some time painting this car and brought back as souvenir..

Hmm... so for Bukit Tinggi... I would give a 2.5 over 5...

I got 'em all!

Last year Shell Malaysia offered six 1:38 scale, 2-speed pull back action Ferrari toy cars with purchase of Shell fuel… I got all six!

This year they offered seven new models… this time the cars come with dynamic engine sound… u guessed it, I got all seven!… but that was not all… I got the yellow Enzo too!

I’m collecting toy vehicles as hobby… I especially love 1:64 scale die cast models... they didn’t take too much room and kinder to my wallet... my favourite spot to find car models is a shoplet in the Summit USJ (sorry, I can’t remember the name of the shop at this moment) because they have unique collection series from manufacturers not very common in Malaysia… u probably knew Hot Wheels and Matchbox... Check this out: http://www.jadatoys.com/ or http://www.maisto.com/ for something a bit different... here in KL, a 1:64 scale die cast toy price range is from RM 5 to RM 35 depending on make and uniqueness of a model... there is not many japanese car model available, so the price of one is usually on the high side...

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC)

Heard of the recent MIFC? Maybe some of you were even there in Putrajaya last month… My wife and I were very much impressed with this event last year… so this year we couldn’t help not going… Here are some photos from last Friday (29/8/08), when the Australian team did their magic… Too bad if you missed out this time around, but if it comes again next time, you should be there… this event is rated MoreYeah!
